1 - Feature: "As we come to the drastic decision: tent and hunger strike of delegates"

local conflict (Call Center Telecom Rosario)

On Wednesday July 4, mid-morning, the entry of Rosario marching from different points of our city to the building Paraguay and Rioja street, where we focus the company to show our strength and conviction Telecom in this struggle, and to go ahead with strike action we have been holding for the achievement wage increase, among other items of equal importance. Call Center workers, for our part, we mobilized from Riobamba and Entre Rios Street, where you will find our building-up a bit over two hundred people. Already concentrated in the downtown, with some six hundred people, we express our dissatisfaction, we confirm our claim, and organize the continuity of our plan to fight a little later, near the 14.00 pm, we ended the demonstration and we demobilized.

That same day, at dusk, the Company announced what we see as a disguised wage cut and a "direct challenge" to the Call Center workers. Having spent the 19.00 hours, reported the decrease of 40% would suffer our commissions, without giving any explanation.

(For those who do not know, who work in the Telecom Call Center, we are sellers of products and services company, and our salary is composed of a basic salary and a percentage of commissions, these commissions being a part very important part of our income).

At 9 am the next day, after having organized the Assembly of Democratic Workers CST, and the presence of part of the Guild leadership, decided to set up two tents in front of our building, and carry out a "hunger strike" by our delegates.

On Friday 6 July, to 16:30, we perform an act of workers, where we have the support of fellow delegates and entry of other sectors of the company and various groups and organizations in solidarity with our situation. We appreciate the presence of: the Socialist Workers Movement (MST), the Rosario University Federation (FUR), the Red Enclave Association, the Student Center from the faculties of Medical Sciences, Architecture and Humanities and Arts, the representatives of the Call Center "Apex", the Independent Media Center and co Indymedia Sink Virasoro among others.
In relation to the spread of conflict, given their presence, major print media such as The Capital, The Link, some FM radio stations and local cable channels (not the TV channels open Rosario).

Today the struggle continues . The tents and the hunger strike are continuing. And I get to hear a senior General Manager Sales Telecom, saying "... I'm not going to feed this filth ..." we respond by saying that our claim is just, and we're tired of being tamper with our pocket .
